EventRide, a Winnipeg company, has launched a new sports fan ride share app that gives fans a new green option to get to the game. EventRide lets fans easily give a ride or get a ride to the big game, and share the costs of parking as well. EventRide matches fans whom are nearest each other with the company’s patented technology.
“When a baseball fan decides they want to leave their car at home, EventRide will find them someone who is prepared to share a ride to the game” says CEO and former Federal Politician Rod Bruinooge.
After downloading the EventRide app, sports fans are presented all games and concerts in their area that they might want to go to. They can then either offer a ride or request a ride to the game. “Fans share a community like no other group, and with that community comes trust. Our service will enable fans to be environmentally responsible by helping to reduce cars from the road and potentially earn carbon credits for their team” said Lawrence Toet V.P. of Business Development and former Member of the Environment Committee in the House of Commons.
EventRide will be working with Toronto based Carbonzero who will coordinate the greenhouse gas reduction project and application for issuance of carbon offsets.

EventRide will be hosting a launch event at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday June 1st at Clay Oven Shaw Park, and is available for download at www.eventride.com. The app includes events in all North American Cities and Towns.
